Kari-Tek have one of the largest demo fleets in the country. With our Ayrshire showroom located right beside a small loch, we're ideally placed to help you try before you buy - just give us a ring in advance of your visit. You can also hire our demo kayaks for a more extended trial - the Ayshire coast is just 30 minutes drive away - and we'll take our modest hire fees off any purchases you make.

Full range of kayaks to trial

Our demo fleet gives you an unrivalled opportunity to try out and compare a huge range of boats in quick succession, which really helps in uncovering which is the ideal boat for you. Indeed we now have so many different kayaks that we provide comparison sheets which you can fill in to keep track of what impresses you about which boat!

We have an unequalled range of Sea Kayaking UK single kayaks for you to trial: the Pilgrim and Pilgrim Expedition, Romany (Classic and Surf, plus the plastic Romany S RM), Explorer (LV, standard and HV models) and the double Triton.

We have the full fleet of Rockpool kayaks: the Alaw, the Alaw Bach and Alaw Bach TCC, plus the Isel, GT and Taran. From Kirton Kayaks we have the C-Trek and Inuk; from P&H we have the Cetus (LV, MV and Original - soon to be replaced with the HV) , the Aries, the Scorpio (Standard and LV) and the Delphin 155.

We also have demonstrator Eddyline kayaks from the US, including the Eddyline Fathom – a lively and responsive fun boat ideal for improving your skill levels – and the Fathom LV.

The latest additions to the fleet are boats from Lettman and Hobie. From Lettman, with their great racing heritage, we have the Magellan and the Archipel; from Hobie, we have the Mirage Outback/Adventure with the unique Hobie drive system.

It's also a great chance to see the whole Kari-Tek product range in action. We have boats fitted with our Skeg Systems, plus a selection of kayaks are fitted with Flat Earth Kayaks Sails - a whole new world of fun! Try them out on the water with one of our Lendal, Swift Lettmann or Streamlyte paddles. Take a look at the quality of our trailers, and try out our Easy Load Roof Rack and expedition rated canoe and kayak trolley.

Offsite demo days

We also occasionally arrange offsite demo days where you’ll be able to try out kayaks from our full range, as well as all our Kari-Tek products.
