Image: Capella 167

The Capella continues to be the mainstay of the P&H range, and has all of the design characteristics expected of a classic British sea kayak.

The Capella range

The Capella is available in composite or polyethylene construction in a range of lengths. All kayaks in the Capella range excel as sea kayaking all-rounders, with enough manoeuvrability to explore a coastline’s nooks and crannies, but with plenty of speed for long open crossings.

Composite boats

The composite Capella is available in 4 length options. The shortest is the Capella 161, which offers a popular mix of tracking, performance and stability to smaller and lighter paddlers or those looking for something more playful.

The increasingly longer Capella 163, 167 and finally the Capella 173 complete the range.

Polyethylene boats

The polyethylene version, the Capella RM, is available in 2 length options, the shorter Capella RM160 and the longer Capella RM166. Unlike most kayaks in its class, the Capella RM is manufactured using a Triple Layer Process, affording it superior buoyancy, strength and rigidity compared to single layer polyethylene models.
The Capella RM’s combination of performance, durability and versatility has already made it the choice of many instructors and centres around the world.
