The NEW Romany Excel
The Romany Excel is a fibreglass Romany designed specifically for taller and larger paddlers. If you're the size of kayaker who finds that short sea kayaks are not designed for them, then this new kayak could be the perfect boat for you!
The 
extra width (56cm) makes it easier to get the kayak on edge where it sits very comfortably, inspiring confidence. It’s more than just a play boat or a day boat - being larger there’s ample carrying capacity, it packs easily and it handles well fully-laden.
With its extra length, it's a fast boat with a straight line speed nearing that of the larger Explorer. It has a real Romany feel - it loves to rock hop and it loves the surf - and with its extra speed it picks up speed fast enough to sit in the pocket of the wave.
Like all SKUK kayaks, the Romany Excel has a Kari-Tek skeg, decklines with recessed fittings, three hatches, waterproof internal bulkheads and includes a compass recess.

SKUK kayaks are fitted with a skeg which counteracts the kayak’s tendency to turn towards the wind - to weather-cock. SKUK’s skeg systems, developed in conjunction with Kari-Tek, use a robust skeg box made from durable ABS plastic. It’s moulded in one piece, making it watertight, and it has a large dagger-board shaped blade which drops further into the water thus increasing performance.
